Welcome!

Welcome to this page, dedicated to my area of professional interests, quantitative modeling. Wikipedia will give you the following definitions for these two terms:

Model: "Model, models, or modeling may refer to: An abstract representation of a system from the modeler's viewpoint",
Quantitative: "A quantitative property is one that exists in a range of magnitudes, and can therefore be measured".

What I define as quantitative modeling is the art or craft of eliciting someone's vision of a system, and translating it into a representation that explicitly isolates its defining features and articulates their functional relationships, in such a way that the behaviour of the system can be simulated by setting some of its measurable properties in various states, making it possible to observe and record measures corresponding to the state of the system.

This is a rather broad field, and as a result, my interests cover multiple areas. In no particular order, some of these areas are mathematical modeling, optimization and algorithms, object-oriented software design and development, rational behavior and decision analysis, and randomness.
